Switzerland
Switzerland is actually officially “The Swiss Confederation” and is extremely multicultural and diverse as a nation. It borders 5 countries (Austria, Germany, France, Italy and Liechtenstein). It is famous for its neutral status throughout history, banking, watch-manufacture, cheese and chocolate. Swiss foods are very varied, containing flavours influences by all its bordering neighbours. The cuisine often contains meat and dairy products, bread, vegetables, and fruit.
Swiss Geography
Switzerland is made of 3 regions; the Jura Mountains, the Mittelland, and the Alps. These are divided into 26 ‘cantons’: Aargau, Appenzell Ausser-Rhoden, Appenzell Inner-Rhoden, Basel-Landschaft, Basel-Stadt, Bern, Fribourg, Geneve, Glarus, Graubunden, Jura, Luzern, Neuchatel, Nidwalden, Obwalden, Sankt Gallen, Schaffhausen, Schwyz, Solothurn, Thurgau, Ticino, Uri, Valais, Vaud, Zug, and Zurich. There is no coastline, but the mountains (especially Alps, good for skiing) have made lakes which are used for watersports in summer. It is very cold in winter, and warm in summer.

Switzerland has 4 official languages: German, French, Romansch and Italian.
Most Popular City in Switzerland
The largest city is Zurich, with over 350000 inhabitants. However, the capital is actually Bern, which has around 120000. Switzerland itself has a total population of 8 million.
